Qatar reveals new business class cabin

Sheikkh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar's ambassador to Germany, unveiled his national carrier's new business class seat and accompanying upgrades to the business class service offering at the International Tourism Bourse held in Berlin this week. Features of the new business class seat, named QSuite, include hand-stitched Italian leather and satin rose gold, luxury bed linens and a new food and beverage concept with fancy new chinaware and cutlery. The real announcement is what Qatar are calling "first class in business class" with drop down panels in the suite enabling adjoining seats to be joined into the world's first double bed in business class. Furthermore, the same panels can be used to create a 'family-style living room' perfect for sharing meals and socialising throughout your flight. The QSuite will be rolled out from June this year.

Driverless cars the future of travel within the Emirates

Elon Musk was a busy man on his most recent type to the Emirates, with the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) signing an agreement with Tesla to purchase 200 electric-powered cars, equipped with a semi-autonomous autopilot option, to supplement Dubai Taxi Corporation’s limousine fleet. This supports the vision for 25% of all journeys in Dubai to be driverless by 2030.
